This brief article from the US News and World Report of 1950 highlights what was happening at home while my father (and perhaps yours - or your grandfather) was fighting in Korea. Even if all you know of the Korean War is MASH, you'll recognize famous names and events. This is displayed in the National Marine Corps Museum in Triangle (Quantico), VA.
