Lens flare isn't usually something a photographer wants. I almost deleted this picture, then looked at it again. The horses looked interested in the supernatural lights and spectrums dancing around their field.
A photograph is visual emotion, running the gamut from stark images of horror—to ‘snapshots in time’ commemorating special moments—to pieces that draw you into their world as if they were magnetized. These are the photographs that evoke a gasp, a “WOW!” or an “awwwww.” I consider myself a visual historian. Whether taking photographs of you and your horse, an old barn, or a misty sunrise, I am preserving history. Not just for you, or that barn, or that sunrise - but for the memories each regenerates in others.
