Artist's Description
Stanyan Street is the northern edge of The Haight - it separated The Haight from Golden Gate Park. It's not a BAD climb until you open the lovely white wrought iron gate and leave my friend's home - and turn left. Then it goes practically straight up! I love this walk, as I turn the corner to a gentler slope and continue to Tank Hill.
Actually, I like the trip back to Pam's house better! But the views - from the top of Stanyan Street and from Tank Hill - are ... well, each time I return home, I leave my heart in San Francisco.
