Description
This is tiny section of a HUGE pile of used horse shoes collected by eight generations of Kriz farriers.
Tim Kriz, an eighth generation family farrier comes from a long line of horseshoers. Tim's grandfather came to this country as an immigrant from Czechoslovakia, and settled in the Naugatuck Valley of Southwestern Connecticut where he found his skills as a farrier in immediate demand. Tim's father & uncle started the Kriz business & the family is still there and still shoeing horses. Where breed preference is concerned, Tim's breed of choice are Percherons. He also has been a formidable competitor at the big shows in the Northeast.

This is a wonderful image and title. He should think about selling them as lucky horseshoes. I would buy one! :)

WOW! That's a lotta shoes ;-) I love this original subject, I've never seen a photo (or picture) of horse shoes like this. Nice job!

Thank you, Melany. This is only a TINY section of a pile that stands probably at least 20 feet high and close to that in diameter. Heaven only knows how far down it goes, as the weight surely has 'sunk' at least a few feet.

Thank you! One of the 'funnest' things I learned through PPA competition was titling!
