I got up while it was still dark, dressed (sort of), drove across the bridge from Chincoteague to Assateague and across that island to the ocean. It was still too dark. Patience. Not my strongest suit, but necessary for photographers.
Finally - there's a glow. Not much - it's cloudy, casting everything blue. Wait for it...wait for it...Look at that sun reflection on the water as the waves slide back into the ocean. DAMN that pigeon - he's going to ruin my shot! No - wait! He's going to MAKE my shot!!! Please, Mr. Seagull, keep walking - you need to keep walking until you're in just the right spot...please???
