Carneros lies south of and between the Napa and Sonoma valleys, and is home to some of the best Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, and sparkling wines.
In the middle of this AVA lies a family vineyard whose story (especially these days) makes my heart sing. In 1967 (the year I should have graduated from college), after several years of participating in a work program in "el norte", Pablo and Juanita Cejas and their six children left their family in Mexico to make a new life in California's budding wine country. Continuing to work in the vineyards, the parents urged their children to attend college. In 1983, Pedro, Armando, and their parents pooled resources and invested in 15 precious acres in Carneros.

A photograph is visual emotion, running the gamut from stark images of horror—to ‘snapshots in time’ commemorating special moments—to pieces that draw you into their world as if they were magnetized.
