Artist's Description

Culloden was a 1745 battle between Scottish Jacobites led by Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Loyalists - the last pitched battle fought on English ground. The Scots failed in their attempt to restore the throne to the House of Stuarts; the House of Hanover remained in control.

Since I wasn't there to take photographs of the original battle, this was taken at a reenactment in Ft. Plain, NY. These are the Scots, if the tartans didn't give them away.

If you are Scottish - or just a reenactment buff - this photograph and Culloden Loyalist create a dynamic wall display, even though they are not identically sized. Just make sure you hang them properly so there's no collateral damage.

I research and provide background information if such is appropriate for a...
